Coronagraphs from First Principles
Planned series. The plan is to build a coronagraph in dLux from scratch, one notebook at a time, working through the sequence of aha moments behind suppressing starlight by ten orders of magnitude. No posts published yet.
The Habitable Worlds Observatory will need to suppress starlight by a factor of ten billion to see an exo-Earth around a Sun-like star. To understand how that is possible, I plan to build the simulation from the ground up in dLux, a JAX-based differentiable optics framework.
The series has not started yet. This page is the placeholder for the outline, and the first notebook will appear below when it is ready.
